Solved: Changing the Thumbnail When Sharing a Link to my B...

Hi All,

I am desperately trying to change the thumbnail image that comes up when I share the link to my blog. For some reason, even when I share the homepage, it uses a photo from an old blog post.

- I tried to follow the information here: https://community.weebly.com/t5/SEO/How-do-I-specify-an-image-for-sharing-on-social-media/td-p/14516...

- I have tried uploading the image on Imgur AND on a hidden page on my weebly site.
- I have used this code (the part linked is the image link): <meta property="og:image" content="https://thenerdyhotelier.weebly.com/uploads/7/3/2/0/73201821/for-link-thumbnail_orig.png"/>

- I have put the above Meta code into the SEO Header for every page on the site as well as the main SEO settings.

Sadly I have not succeeded and am at a loss. Any suggestions? Happy to share any information that may help!

Hi Cat. You may have already figured this out, but I just checked the Facebook Debugger tool and it look looks like the site is updated.

Is there a specific page that is not updating?

Hi Bernadette, thank you for your reply! It seems a few days after I was fiddling with it, it just worked!

No idea what I did right in the end, but as far as I am aware, it works for all the pages.
