Search Results showing deleted content (site search cached pages)

I have the weebly search tool as part of our website here.  When I type in certain searchs it returns results that include pages that have been deleted from our website. An example would be searching for "1095" (a new government report number). The first few results returned are to pages we deleted from our website several months ago.

Is there a way to "refresh" the search tool so it's only bringing up current content?

Is there a way to do this manually, or can I request it done on my site?

Hello,

When searching my site on Google it also shows information on the Home page that has been deleted from my Published site . Can you please get rid of this old information?

Thank you

It can take a little while for Google to update its search index of your site, so if you make changes it sometimes takes a while for that to be reflected in Google search results. You can sometimes speed that up a little by using Google's fetch-as-google tool:

I have the same problem. Deleted content is still showing up in search. Can you please do a manual re-index of my site as well? https://etelserschlossschweinchen.weebly.com

Are you referring to Google search results, @apopfrauks? That content should eventually fall out of Google search results, although it might take a little time.

Hello, please also re-index the site search for https://www.clipclocks.com/

Thank you. It would be really, really nice if there was a way to initiate this myself rather than having to ask support each time.

Welcome to the Community, @SnapperTail, and not a problem. I've started a re-index of your site for you. Publishing your site will normally trigger this, although it can take a while to complete.

Thanks Adam. However, I'm still seeing the issue (see screen captures below) on both the site search and the search in the Items Library.  It looks like the site search index got mixed up when products were being duplicated (as indicated by the "Swan - copy"  item shown on the site search results).

Hi @SnapperTail I'm sorry to hear the site index did not help you out. I recommend reaching out to our support team directly here so that a rep can troubleshoot this with you. They may need to consult with the advanced support team to make sure there's no issues on the backend.

My site (www.sths.fi) also would need reindexing. Removed pdf files I was asked to remove maybe 6 months ago are found by search engines.

regards,

Milja
