I filed a dispute as a customer

I filed a dispute for a purchase I made (over the phone) with my MasterCard and the seller's Square account.  The payment for a product was over $3700.  I haven't recieved my product and after communicating several times with the seller, he is still putting me off because he's having "difficult times". 

What steps will Square take to help me recover my money?

Call your credit card company and file a dispute.  Not Square.  If you bought something at a store you wouldn't contact there card processor.
