Online order DELAY to Square Register

Regarding orders that come in to our online shop for prepared items in our coffee house.

It can take up to and sometimes more than 5 minutes for orders to pop up to our Square Register and Print on our order printer.  We will have emails already that orders have been received and need to be picked up at X:XX o'clock.  The orders print AFTER the time the order should have been picked up.  Does it just take this long to sync up or have I missed a setting somewere?

Sorry to hear about these delays! I see how this could definitely put a damper on your ability to meet pickup times, @RedLightRoaster.

 

I haven't heard of this happening with the Square Register yet, but what you're describing doesn't sound related to any settings you can enable/disable. If you haven't already reached out to us by phone, I think that's your next best step. When you get connected, you'll ask to speak with our Hardware team - Square Register and Square Terminal specialists about your Square Register.

On line orders are being emailed to us in real time but to flow through to our registers it's taking 15-20 minutes?  It's not just to the ipad, it also isn't showing up on our mobile apps either?  I've had a few orders that the people were into the store before the order came into the register-luckily I was on email and could prepare their lunch.

 

Anyone else have this issue the past few days?

 

and yes we have Weebly as our on line store

So sorry you're experiencing delays with online orders and your Square Register. I have only seen one previous post of a seller experiencing something similar. I moved your post over to the same thread.

 

I would recommend contacting our CS Team directly, so they can file a ticket with our engineers about the disconnect you're seeing.

My order alerts are very delayed and ofter show up AFTER the customer leaves with a rush order, that they place in person, in hand. VERY frustrating!

How long are the delays you are seeing, @Shakebossvt, and are you still seeing that? If you are I would contact our support team so they can take a look.
