In the CSV Item export I never had the Reference Handle before, and the Token slot when Left Blank indicates to Square when uploading a New Item. If you delete the token and keep the rest of the information the same for an item you will have 2 of the same item. If the Token is left alone and you change Price or Quantity etc then upload the file after the changes this lets Square know which item by the Token to edit.
