How to set up deposits before my customers arrive?

Hey how do I get customers pay a deposit before they come? I’m having a lot of no show clients and cancelation on last min but sometimes I can’t charge the card on file thank you

We have special square gift cards printed that are just for deposits.

We take their information over the phone and set up their appointment and take their deposit over the phone in the form of a gift card. When they come in for their appointment and we are ready to ring them up we apply the deposit first to the sale and then they can pay the remaining balance.
