Traveling to the UK from the USA for an event, do we need to make a new account to take payments?
Subject says it all really - i want to be able to take Square payments in the UK next week, do we need to do anything special to make sure this works? We are USA based and have only used our square readers here in the past.
Thanks! 🙂

If you are going to take payments while abroad you will need an account in the UK. USA accounts will not work outside the GPS location of the US. I'm not sure what you need to open a Square UK account.

How did this go? were you able to get a UK account set up? I'm traveling to the UK for a few weeks in september and need to do the same thing. The only problem i've encountered is needing a UK address for account set up. did you encounter this? if so, how'd you get around it?

@Horsefeathers1 Helen here from the Community! To use Square in the UK you'd need to meet all of these requirements to sign up, and create a separate account.
