Failed payment with plugin

I am using an external software plugin to run my customers cards in which records in the software but processes in square. When I test the plug in the information comes up right and I have verified with the POS customer service department for the software it is set up correctly. However, when I enter the card info it says failed. It doesn't matter which card I use...failed. I cannot figure out what is wrong. If I do it manually in square it runs just fine.
