How do I pay tips with Payroll?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: splitting tips- payroll

We are enrolled in Square payroll- I have all my staff as hourly (because they are hourly + tips)- they split tips by day- I cannot find how to add tips to their paycheck every time I run payroll- I see an "additional income" section but have no way to access it

Hello @Thirstsoda You can add your employee's tips when you process payroll by clicking the + icon next to Gross Pay from your Payroll Dashboard. This Support Center article has the steps to run Payroll and add tips (see point number 7)

 

If you add Cash Tips keep in mind this refers to tips already paid to your employee and will not be sent in your pay run. (But this is important for tax reporting and documentation.)

 

If you ads Paycheck Tips this amount will be paid to your employee(s) through Square Payroll.
