Sometimes we get an order in and its something we put on the floor right away before we actually receive an item (due to us not having the invoice or something). When this happens it would be nice for square to sell it into the negative but when we receieve have the total inventory equal out. For example we got 4 of a book in and sold all 4 before we received it in our system. Now after we have received it square thinks we have 4 in stock instead of square keeping track that we had -4 and now 0. Is this already a feature or can it be added/improved upon?

Ah, I see. Definitely see how that feature would be helpful. Currently, that isn't in the pipeline to implement. For now, it's best to update inventory to accurately reflect what you have in stock before it's sold.
