Google warnings on mobile usability

Hi, I received an email from Google Search Control Team on July 18th, letting me know that my site www.flyfishingcoyhaique.com has two warnings regarding it's mobile usability.:

  1. Clickable elements too close together
  2. Content wider than screen

At first I didn't care much, but know I see that (for my favorite query) from being in the first page on Google search, now I'm on third page.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks, Alex

I always have text directly above or below image...

@alexfish The same image and text as screen shot b4 is now fixed.. showing as:

image

I never knew Google  saw page over shoots. Which is kindda interesting.

It just makes the page look crap. Haha.

I never even tried wrapping the text around the image.    And when i do a post i see what it looks like on a PC, tablet and smart phone-  i do the best arrangement for smart phones.  If it looks jot so good on the PC, oh well.

Whitemonkey,

I see what you mean. When you tried the "movil mode" in the editor, it shows the pictures wider than screen. But trying on mobiles (ios & Android) with Chrome it shows just fine.

Anyway I think it's fixed now.

We'll see if Google reacts positvely to the changes.

Thanks a lot,

alexfish

hi. I got the exact same message. I didn't understand your solution. Is it just applicable to the OP? My site is http://EME4SENIORS.COM. If your solution would work for me too, would you please explain so I can fix? Thank you. Diana

I would try cutting down on the amount of content you have on your homepage to see if that helps, @options1. I didn't see anything that showed content was wider than the screen when I checked your mobile site, though.

Did Google list any specific pages with those errors, @alexfish?

Hi Adam,

At search console, they say 0 pages affected.

So, no specific pages listed, but I assume it's the home page.

I already made some changes, I hope this brings my site up again in Google rankings.

Thanks a lot for your interest,

Alexfish
