There is offline mode, which has its own inherent risks, to use when the internet access is down. If a payment is declined when you restore internet access Square will not have the buyer info so you must take more information when doing transactions in offline mode, information like name, contact number, and verify the card isn’t expired cause that will slip past swiping in offline mode.
