Deleting "Recent Custom Items" from Create Invoice / POS

How do I select RECENT CUSTOM ITEMS when creating an invoice in the POS system?  Please see photo.  This is driving me NUTS.  Folks have complained about this since 2019.  Please advise...

@TXJM Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies from your browser? That also may work.

@TXJM I'm sorry to hear your frustration in this. I don't see a photo attached, but would love to take a closer look once it get's uploaded. 

 

If you're wanting to put a recently created item into an invoice, you can always search the item's name and it will pop up. Once I see the picture I should get a better understanding of what you're looking for. 🙂

OK.... I'm done trying to upload the photo.  Here's a verbal description of what's-going-on:

 

+ In INVOICES... click CREATE INVOICE on far right of screen.

+ Under LINE ITEMS... click ADD ITEM.

+ Typically LIBRARY ITEMS appears w/ all of my items (skus) listed in alphabetical order.

+ However RECENT CUSTOM ITEMS appears above the library items.  For me, these were custom items I accidentally created while typing fast to produce an invoice.

 

I simply want to delete all RECENT CUSTOM ITEMS....  Any suggestions?

2TXJM Are you able to see these items under Items in the Square Dashboard? You should be able to delete them from there. 🙂

No. The “recent custom items” Are not listed under the items category. Therefore cannot be deleted Like a normal item.

I would like to concur with the frustration and the frustration of trying to explain what is happening. For me making mistakes and having to see them pop up for EVERY invoice is extremly annoying. I don't know why Square can't see this happening. I want those items OUT of recent custom items..... There HAS to be a way!

Yes but that clears ALL of my history. What if I dont want to do that. I have this annoying recent activity, that is nowhere near RECENT, showing up every time I need to enter an item.

At this time, our product team is aware of this limitation and is working towards a solution. In the meantime, clearing the cache or browsing data is the only workaround.
